The story
70 years, two generations, one phone number.
It started in 1953, when Mickey's father hung out his shingle as a plumber in southeast LA County. No slogans, no fleet of wrapped vans — just a man who showed up when he said he would and charged what he said he'd charge.
Mickey grew up in the trade — under houses, in crawl spaces, handing his dad wrenches before he was old enough to drive. When it was his turn, he didn't rebrand or franchise. He kept the name, the standards, and the phone number.
Today some customers are on their third decade of calling that number. One reviewer put it simply: “Mickey and his dad have been my plumber for approximately 30 years.”
The crew stays small on purpose — Mickey, plus a couple of trusted guys customers know by name. Personal like a one-man shop, with the capacity of a real company.
