How do I know if my house needs a repipe?
If it was built before about 1970 and still has original galvanized pipe, it's living on borrowed time — the pipe rusts shut from the inside. Falling pressure and rusty water are the classic signs. A quick look tells Mickey how far gone it is.
Copper or PEX — which is better?
Both are good, done right. Copper is the traditional premium option; PEX is flexible, freeze-tolerant, and usually less expensive. Mickey quotes both when both fit, and explains the tradeoffs without pushing either.
How long does a whole-house repipe take?
Most single-family homes take a few days, and you'll have water each evening. You'll get a real schedule with the quote — not a moving target.
Can't I just keep fixing leaks as they come?
You can, for a while — but each pinhole is the pipe telling you the wall thickness is gone. At some point patches cost more than the repipe. Mickey will tell you honestly which side of that line you're on.
