1. Who we are & what these terms cover

This website is operated by One Hour Plumbing Service, a second-generation, family-owned plumbing company serving southeast Los Angeles County and northern Orange County, California. These Terms & Conditions cover your use of this website and the ways you contact us through it — the phone links and the quote request form.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site — but honestly, you can still just call us the old-fashioned way.

Actual plumbing work is a separate agreement: the scope, price, and warranty of any job are set when you and Mickey agree on the work, not by this website.

2. The website is information, not a diagnosis

Everything on this site — service descriptions, symptoms lists, FAQs, city notes — is general information written to help you understand common plumbing problems. It is not a diagnosis of your specific plumbing, and it's not a substitute for someone actually looking at the job.

Plumbing varies house to house. What's true for most 1950s homes in Norwalk may not be true for yours. When in doubt, call and describe what you're seeing.

3. Quotes & pricing

Phone quotes are honest ballparks based on what you describe. Mickey will tell you what could change the number once he sees the job, and the final price doesn't change without your OK. Prices quoted by phone or in person control over anything on this website.

Nothing on this site is a binding offer of a specific price. We don't do fake teaser pricing, so you won't find a number here to hold us to — you'll get your real number on the call.

Discounts (cash, senior, military) are applied as agreed when you book the job. Mention them when you call.

4. Emergencies — read this one

If you smell gas: leave the building first, then call from outside. Don't flip switches, light flames, or use anything that can spark.

If water is flooding: shut off the fixture valve or the main house valve if you can do it safely. Mickey can walk you through it on the phone.

The website is never the fast way to reach us. For anything urgent, call 562-441-4652 — it's answered 24/7. Form submissions are for project inquiries and are not monitored minute-to-minute.

5. Using the quote form

The form is for genuine inquiries about plumbing work. By submitting it, you confirm the information is accurate, it's your own contact information, and you're asking us to contact you back about your project.

Don't use the form to send spam, marketing pitches, automated submissions, or anyone else's personal information. We may decline or ignore any inquiry, and we rate-limit abusive traffic.

6. Scheduling, access & site conditions

When you book work, you agree to provide reasonable access to the areas involved — crawl spaces, cleanouts, water heaters, shutoff valves — and to secure pets during the visit.

If a job reveals conditions nobody could see from the outside (hidden corrosion, unpermitted past work, collapsed lines), Mickey will stop, show you what he found, and re-quote before doing anything beyond what you approved. No surprise invoices.

7. Warranty on work

Mickey warranties his work — if something he fixed isn't right, he comes back and makes it right. The specific warranty terms for your job (what's covered and for how long) are confirmed when the work is quoted, because a faucet washer and a full repipe aren't the same commitment.

The warranty covers our workmanship. It doesn't cover unrelated parts of your plumbing, damage from misuse, or a different problem that shows up later in a 70-year-old system — though if that happens, you'll get the same honest answer about what it is and what it costs.

8. Permits, codes & licensed work

One Hour Plumbing Service is licensed (CSLB #992029) and bonded, and work is performed to applicable plumbing and building codes. Where a permit is required — gas lines, water heaters, sewer replacements, and similar — the quote will say so, and the work follows the permit process.

9. Reviews & customer quotes on this site

Customer quotes shown on this site come from real reviews on public platforms like Yelp. Where a quote is shortened or summarized rather than word-for-word, it's labeled that way. We never write fake reviews, and we never pay for positive ones.

10. Our content

The text, badge logo, illustrations, and design of this site belong to One Hour Plumbing Service. You're welcome to share links to the site. Don't copy the content or the badge to represent another business — this one took 70 years to earn.

11. Links to other sites

The site links out to third-party platforms like Yelp, Google, and social profiles. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for what happens there.

12. Limitation of liability

We work hard to keep this website accurate and available, but it's provided "as is," without warranties of any kind about the website itself. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of the website or reliance on its general content.

To be clear: this section is about the website. The plumbing work itself is covered by the warranty and terms agreed for your specific job — see section 7.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute relating to the website will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

14. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version gets posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the current version.

15. If part of this is unenforceable

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. The unenforceable part gets replaced with whatever enforceable language comes closest to the original intent.
